With ZingByCecelia, you will discover designs that incorporate a variety of methods & materials, including torch-fired enamels, hand-forged metals, and magical elements. I love collecting beads from my travels, & I'm especially passionate about lamp work glass beads, made by fabulous artists from around the world.
I enjoy combining the strong, rugged look of copper, sterling silver & brass, along with some feminine sparkle & color. By blending gem stones, crystals, & a variety of unique beads, I create a fanciful, sophisticated look, with a touch of whimsy. My Hot Zing line is produced by shaping & hammering metal, then mixing fire, powdered & fused glass. For additional fun, I fashion pieces with kinetic energy, in my Spin Zing line.
After several years working as an illustrator at IBM, I stayed home with my two children, working under the name ARTcetera, as a freelance artist, creating graphic design, paintings, murals, & jewelry.
My latest creative passion is working with fire, glass & metal to make jewelry. I recently launched ZingByCecelia, and I enjoy designing fanciful works in my home studio. At ZingByCecelia, I partner with a variety of glass artisans, who allow me to merge beautiful, unique pieces into my original jewelry design. I also use my own glass making skills to create torch-fired enamel & fused glass works of wearable art.
My passions don't end with the beauties I produce. I am also committed to my family and non-profit pursuits. My husband Mike & I are involved with CASE, The Center for Adoption Support & Education, a non profit agency that provides support for adoptive & foster families. Our son Steven shares my love of horses and bluegrass music, while working on a horse farm in Middletown, MD and being a gifted banjo player. Our daughter Michaela, works as a Physical Therapy Assistant, & keeps me current with her flair for fashion, and artistic passion for shopping. We enjoy spending time together on our quiet property among the many trees, gardens & wildlife. And we are silly about our two dogs, Dixie Ray & Kena Marie.
